For the past year, the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has been developing the next generation of Homeport to provide a better user experience and improve the security of user information.
Homeport is the USCG’s internet portal that allows USCG personnel, members of the maritime community (including Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA)-regulated facilities and Facility Security Officers), and other designated individuals to share information. The Coast Guard is reaching the final stages of development of Homeport 2.0 and has issued some key dates regarding its implementation:
- August 18, 2017 – Any changes made to the content of Homeport from August 18th through the go-live date were not migrated to Homeport 2.0. Users will need to re-upload any such changes to Homeport 2.0 once it goes live.
- September 12, 2017 – Anticipated go-live date of Homeport 2.0.
