DHS Semiannual Regulatory Agenda

 

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published its Semiannual Regulatory Agenda to provide the public with information about DHS regulatory activity and invite comments on any aspect of the Agenda.
 
The following regulatory items were listed as “Long-Term Actions” in the Agenda:
  • A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for potential revisions to the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) at a date to be determined; and
  • Regulation of the sale and transfer of Ammonium Nitrate under the Ammonium Nitrate Security Program, with no date designated for next actions.
 
The following regulatory items were identified as being in the “Final Rule Stage” in the Agenda:   
  • The U.S. Coast Guard’s (USCG’s) Seafarers’ Access to Maritime Facilities Rule, with a projected Final Rule publication of January 2018; and
  • The Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA’s) Security Training for Surface Transportation Employees, with a projected Final Rule publication of September 2018.
